What can I expect after regenerative cell treatment?
Due to the various uses for regenerative cell treatment, your personal experience after treatment may be different from others. As with any medical procedure, you may have some side effects after your transplant such as redness or swelling at the site of your injection.
However, because the specialists at GIOSTAR Chicago use your own cells for treatment, referred to as autologous therapy, the side effects are minimal and most patients tolerate the treatment well. Of the 14,000 patients treated at various GIOSTAR centers throughout the world, none have experienced any serious side effects.
To ensure safety and the effectiveness of treatment, the medical team at GIOSTAR Chicago follows a very strict protocol for regenerative cell therapy. Treatment generally involves three separate transplants set at four to eight-week intervals. Each transplant includes pre- and post-treatment care, as well as a follow-up phone call to assess your tolerance to treatment.
If you experience any side effects after your transplant, such as nausea, vomiting, or fever, you should contact GIOSTAR Chicago for care instructions, which may include a visit to the office for an evaluation.
Regenerative cell treatment isn’t FDA approved, however, your specialists follow the same guidelines set up by the FDA for bone marrow transplants for treatment of various health conditions such as sickle cell anemia and leukemia. These guidelines have been in use for 25 years.
The specialists at GIOSTAR Chicago recommend you learn all you can about regenerative cell therapy before your initial consultation so you know what to expect before, during, and after treatment. While many patients at GIOSTAR have had success with treatment, every patient’s experience is different.
If you’ve done the research and want to talk to a specialist, call GIOSTAR Chicago today to set up your complimentary consultation or use online booking to schedule an appointment.
How much time between transplants is recommended?
Each transplant, in general, should be timed 4 to 6 weeks apart, a maximum of 8 weeks apart depending on the disease and medical condition of the patient.
How quickly can you see results after the regenerative cell treatment?
The short answer is that results can typically be seen, felt or sensed within 1 to 7 days after the treatment. The full depth of results should be realized within 12 months after the third transplant.
What side effects or complications has GIOSTAR observed from these treatments?
Regenerative cell treatment utilizing the properly isolated and administered autologous regenerative cells has no known side effects. Some patients may, however, feel temporarily feel flu-like symptoms as their immune system flushes out cellular debris created during the rejuvenation process.
Will my body reject stem cells? Is there an immune rejection issues or concern? What about Graft versus Host disease?
GIOSTAR has not observed any side effects using their regenerative cell technology.
Our professional lab biologists are held to the strictest standards isolate the Mesenchymal regenerative cell from the original tissue. This is a nonstructural stem cell that is multipotent and “immune privileged”.
This means that you can give the cells to any patient without the need to match a donor or use immunosuppressive drugs. Therefore they will not cause adverse reactions in the patient, such as graft-versus-host disease. Because of this special property, there is no risk of rejection or adverse reaction.
Be sure to inspect any provider you speak with as to the specific methodology they use to ensure they have properly isolated the MSC (mesenchymal stem cell) because there are many types of regenerative cells which can make the body susceptible to serious diseases, infection, cancer and other issues such as regrowing the wrong tissue in the wrong place.
